"...I gave it a spin and I dug the School House Rocks! vibe of the song. Their Evolution EP is out and is actually pretty good, fun and full of whimsy..."

"...Overall, Overman has a sort of Neil Young, Allman Brothers, with an indie rock flair to it, jam-band feel. You really want to be sitting on your front porch with a beer (or beverage of choice), on a hot summer night, listening to this band just play for hours on an extended set that consists of five maybe six songs that take three hours to play. Somehow, even though these songs are entirely new, they made me feel quite nostalgic for my youth..."

"...Overman seem to have that eternal youthful exuberance and enthusiasm (and plain old fun), keeping a sense of humor while touching on more serious and sometimes dark issues...."

"...The band’s debut EP finds it sitting back comfortably and simply letting the music flow. Each of the four tracks slowly pours out laid-back but confident alt-country, especially the moving, bluesy ballad 'Move On'..."

"...the track which immediately grabbed my attention is "Move On" with its exotic guitar overtones at least one reviewer has likened to the late John Cipollina, but to my ears is as reminiscent of a collaboration between Neil Young and Danny Whitten..."

6/17/09 - Overman on the Skeptic's Mix Tape
"Had me on the first riff, and kept my attention for the remainder of the song. I love the groove of this song, the chord structure and the lead fills. I could definitely hear this song on the soundtrack of many of my favorite movies. It's a got a touch of Pink Floyd in it, but this is pretty original stuff. I also hear some hints of the early 90's alternative stuff in there. The guitar does it for me though. They've definitely taken full advantage of the guitar, but didn't over do it. I would buy the CD."
More to come!
