Ryan: Wife Has 3-6 Months to Live
 AP Photo/Charles Rex Arbogast For months, attorneys for former Governor George Ryan have argued for his release from prison so that he can be by his ill wife, Lura Lynn. Today, Ryan's attorneys filed a motion with medical records to back that up. The motion to have George Ryan released on bail and parts of his 2006 conviction reversed based on the Supreme Court's narrower guidelines of the honest services law indicates that Lura Lynn Ryan has a terminal lung disease and could have anywhere from three-to-six months to live. Doctors at Kankakee's Riverside Medical Center say they found a new mass in her lungs.      More... |
