They were comfortable right out of the box. I didn’t need a break-in period or time to get use to walking in them as I had purchased a pair of Chung shi shoes last year (which are similar) but not as good. The MBT’s are much more supportive and have better cushioning. I work out 3-4 times per week and use these shoes on the treadmill and elliptical machines. I have a wide foot and a bunion and this shoe accommodates my foot condition very well. I plan to order a 2nd pair so I can alternate them.
