That Boat gets over 100 miles per gallon!!!

That Neil Young...Just to have something to do and ,I suppose, make a statement along the way; film it and write an EP about it;-)

I wonder what I'd do if I had all the resources and nothing but time....

What would you do?

I'd buy a bunch of baby seals. See how many I could club to death in an hour. Then try to beat that record.

So also on this new EP from my hero, Young touches on other current topics besides his main focus on an electric car ,as nod to alternative fuel, such as the Government bailouts. I must say "Cough up the bucks" is quite catchy. Yet some of the lyrics are kinda weird such as In Fuel line;"The awesome power of electricity, Stored for you in a giant battery".... ummm not so much a cool sing along.

I enjoy a lot of the music that Neil Young put out in his great career. For some reason I dont believe that old musicians can still put out good stuff though.

You'll soon discover that you're wrong. I would agree that, much like an athlete, an artist's catalogue is strongest towards the beginning of their career, but plenty of artists have put out great music towards the end of their career. Bob Dylan's last 4 albums have all been excellent. At least one of them won him a Grammy. Robert Plant still makes good, relevant music. The Stones...hmm…nevermind.

So you're mostly right, but I would argue that a good artist can put out "good stuff" for the length of their career. What do you think of McCartney's stuff from the last 10 or 15 years? I've been just "eh" towards it.

What reason is that?

Neil Young has been one of thee most vocal musican on this topic specifically. His 2007 fall shows at the Chicago Theatre relected his arguement that he is an evolving artist and doensn't have any interest going on tour playing some tribute to the past... playing the same songs that everybody knows every show. His efforts to bring on Wilco and Death Cab during his 2008 tour provided a platform on his progression as a musican. All that is yet to leave out FARMAID.... one of many well known "old musicians" have been putting that benefit show together for years now. Neil Young has not gone anywhere but to his home in La Honda, California to write music.
