From dead.net:

The Dead will be touring for the first time in more than four years, with nearly twenty shows spread across a month from mid-April through mid-May.

The lineup for this edition of The Dead will be the same one that rocked the house at Penn State last fall at the Obama benefit: The Core Four of Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, joined by guitar monster Warren Haynes and RatDog keyboard ace Jeff Chimenti (both veterans of the 2004 Dead "Wave That Flag" tour). The mood of the band for this Spring Fling is way up, so it’s sure to be a great tour!

You know it’s gonna get stranger, so let’s get on with the show...

I may just go rock the parking lot with you and buy a bunch of drugs while hawking Overman shit. I wonder in a copy of 'The Evolution EP' trades equal value for a hit of acid?

Well at least a hummus burrito and some molly...

I'm just there for the music for sure. Every since Sirius joined up with XM, I get the Grateful Dead Station and there are some great live shows that are played.

Listen to Unbroken Chain and it all makes sense...

The Dead are good,we should definitely go and hand out cards and trade CD's!
Although Im not sure if I could handle being around that many hippies these days.

Regardless of the stereotype, from my experience the dead heads I know are Business Owners, Teachers, City Workers, Firemen, Nurses, Financial Analyst and Students. I gather that their choice to perhaps not shower and take some time off is their prerogative and most likely paid for. Of course there are degrees of all sterotypes, and I have no idea where whom would fit in where. Yet I do know that it's all happening for the music and to me that's extraordinary.

By the way, the term hippies is defined as a subculture formed during the early 1960s. Generally, those that are now in this day in age that may fit a some progressive sterotype of that term... wouldn't.

Presale starts on the 13th!!!

Hey! where's Aaron on this?... I do believe one of the first time we met he was wearing a Dead T-shirt....
