Service on the Blue Line has been suspended until Monday between the Western/Milwaukee station and downtown’s Washington stop. Shuttles are running to move passengers until Monday at 4 a.m. when the route will open again.
Bus shuttles will operate as a substitute for rail service making stops at Western/Milwaukee, Damen, Division, Chicago, Grand, adjacent to Clark/Lake (southbound buses on Clark and northbound buses on LaSalle), Washington, Monroe and Jackson, according to a release from the CTA.Repair work is being done to the tracks to repair the slow zones, replacing wood ties with concrete ties.
